It’s about time!

Finally! No more excuses. Just me and the computer. I am doing this and I actually came up with a name that suits me!

I know many of you are reading this and can’t believe your eyes but I am finally putting pen to paper (or type to screen) and starting the blog I have talked about for-e-ver! So many excuses – I am tired, I have to work, I have to study, I can’t come up with a name, I don’t want to (ha ha)…no more. I said, “Stop whining and just write!”

So, hello world and welcome to my blog — Sizable Chic. (Insert smile here!)

Since I was a little girl, I have loved clothes, shopping, fashion! What girl doesn’t! From sketching designs for my (clears throat) dolls to helping my friends and family shop for that special occasion, I have always enjoyed seeing others find their signature style or that outfit that makes them look and feel good.

Fashion is for everyone and it doesn’t matter how old you are or what size you wear. Even though I have never been a sample size or supermodel thin (nor will I ever be and that is ok with me), I find what looks good on me (Emphasis on the “me.” Everything is not for me.) and wear it with confidence. And yes, there are times I question the outfit I have on but I always remember what my mama told me, “Walk like you know you look good.” I have loved my curves since my first fashion show when a customer came to the models’ dressing room to literally take the dress off my back because I looked “that fierce” (her words not mine) walking down the runway. It’s not just about that killer dress or those hot shoes or the bag you’re carrying, it is about how they make you feel inside and what you exude when you walk into a room – hopefully that is confidence.

Fashion has the ability to transform u. It gives you a chance to express yourself and speaks volumes before you can even utter a word. And that can be good or bad. So I hope that no matter what size you are or how much you have to spend on fashion, you remain authentic and embrace your personal style.

I invite you to come along with me as we navigate through the latest fashion and style trends. Schedule permitting, I hope to post once a week. And while this is primarily about fashion, I will occasionally weave in other noteworthy topics that fit the Sizable Chic lifestyle.

I hope you come again and share your thoughts and feedback.

I am a fashion/lifestyle blogger who seriously believes in retail therapy. An artist at heart, I love painting, drawing, writing and anything that lets me express myself. I love all animals, Justin Timberlake, Hallmark movies, apple pie and Nelly!
