I started 2020 with high hopes. I was so excited for this year. I expected it to be like any other year. But better. I was so excited about what the year could potentially bring that I felt the year needed a theme song. I wanted the theme song to be something that would be uplifting. I want all of us to level up our knowledge, make the most of the year, and become the best version of ourselves. That is why the song Level Up by Ciara is the theme for the year.

Here is an excerpt from the song:

I just keep elevating, no losses, just upgrading

To me, it is self-explanatory.

• Be about it versus talking about it.
• Continue to get better and better. Move forward.
• Setbacks are setups. Make the most of these setups.
• Do not rest and be content with where you are.
• I am supernaturally victorious.

But this year has been like no other. The Coronavirus has taken a toll on humanity. Whether you have been affected directly or indirectly, none of us are immune to the effects of this disease. With all the devastation this virus has caused, it seems weird to continue to look for motivation in songs. But honestly, I think this is what we need at this moment in time.

I find motivation and inspiration all around but especially from music.
